This seminar will provide answers to several essential questions – specifically, what is literature review? Why do we write a literature review? What is its purpose and how to reach that purpose?
Material discussed at the seminar will be tailored to the group profile: literature review will be presented in accordance with the characteristics of relevant academic level and scientific field.
The seminar will also discuss the key elements of a summary; specifically, what is summary and why it is needed? How should a summary demonstrate the link between an Introduction and Literature Review?
Lastly, the seminar will present the topic of plagiarism and discuss the ways of working with other people’s ideas. It will provide answers to the questions of avoiding plagiarism and will offer practical exercises to improve various forms of citation (quoting, summarizing, and paraphrasing).
